Howe

Created in 2001 by former Quiksilver designer Jade Howe, Howe blends European tailoring and fabrications with an aesthetic that Howe calls ‘cowboy punk meets English country gentleman’.  Howe is a full collection of premium sportswear that includes denim and non-denim bottoms, tees, wovens, sport coats, vests, as well as classic 3-piece suits with a rock ‘n’ roll edge.  The line, which combines West-Coast alternative music lifestyle influences with an English tailoring feel, has won raves for its strong, original graphics, treatments and details.

Some of the recent celebs Howe has dressed include Tony Hawk, Franz Ferdinand, Weezer, Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, and the Rock.  Designer Jade Howe recently received a 2005 Stuff magazine Style Icon Award (along with Kanye West, Giorgio Armani, Kings of Leon, and John Varvatos).  He describes his consumer audience as, ‘indie-executives,’ the exploding market of artistically minded, entrepreneurial men that have money to spend and demand unique goods with style.

In November 2004 Howe opened Howe Homme in Santa Ana, CA., the first of several flagship retail stores, where guest can receive personal fittings, styling, and tailoring.  Howe is sold in better specialty boutiques and department stores in the U.S., Europe, Canada, and Japan.  Designer Jade Howe’s vision is to redefine American men’s style by becoming the next great premium lifestyle brand for men aged 22-40 and in the process fill the market void left by traditional luxury labels and big corporate brands.
